Some hypotheses:<\/p>\n

1) AI is not just a technology & scientific field, it is also a dream-enabling *empty phrase*
\n=> dreams or nightmares of superintelligence or extinction are fueld by world view alone
\n=> cp. the TESCREAL school of thought<\/p>\n

2) AI is a tool<\/em>, not a personal counterpart
\n=> because why should we want and design something else?<\/p>\n

3) Machine-learning-based AI is function approximation<\/em>, which is a very general problem formulation (e.g., mapping senses to behaviour)
\n=> what relevant aspects of being human are not modeled by it? Spirit, \u2026
\n=> a battle of retreat w.r.t. what remains of man’s uniqueness must be avoided (in this context, the recent book The Atomic Human<\/em> by Neil Lawrence<\/em> is relevant and very interesting)<\/p>\n

4) We<\/em> have agency in designing the future, whereby technology can help to do tremendious good
\n=> let\u2019s do good based on a realistic positive worldview, including faith<\/p>\n
